Each piece is custom made by hand and is made upon receipt of your order. While all furniture is fabricated and finished to the highest quality standards, furniture does require proper care in order to maintain it's appearance.
Treat your furniture kindly and it will provide you with years of enjoyment. Following are some helpful guidelines.
Wood
Inherent to wood are such irregularities as sapwood, knots and uneven coloration. These traits are natural and lend a unique character to each piece of furniture. Air and sunlight will effect the color of natural wood over time, so we recommend rotating furniture from time to time to allow a more uniform patina to develop.
Maintenance
Wipe up spills immediately to avoid staining. Do not place hot or wet pots, plates or other items directly onto your furniture. Use coasters to help prevent watermarks, scratches, and stains. Felt pads should be used on items placed on wood surfaces to avoid scratches. Dust regularly with a dry, soft cloth or untreated dusting cloth. Avoid using alcohol or petroleum-based products. Do not use abrasive cleaners, chemical solvents or strong detergents.
Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. After cleaning, finish with a clean damp towel and dry thoroughly. Use of abrasives, acid- or alkaline-based cleaners will damage the finish of the surface. Spills should be wiped off immediately, and the area cleaned thoroughly with a damp cloth, as above.
